Delta Tour Tigre
& San Isidro
To make contact with the Delta, means to value the generosity of nature and realize this unique place in the world can never be invisible to the eyes. It is an exotic subtropical forest formed by miles of islands and islets, which can only be accessed by water. The lush vegetation of the place and the houses of the islanders frame a completely unusual landscape. It is an adventure impossible to miss because the northern suburbs of Buenos Aires are one of the great attractions of Buenos Aires.
We will pick you up at your hotel and we will go to the North Zone of Buenos Aires located 30kms away from the city center. We will travel along the El Libertador Avenue parallel to the route of the Río de la Plata, to see along the way, beautiful postcards of our river, The riverwalks (costanera norte), The domestic airport Jorge Newbery, the Monumental Stadium of the soccer team River Plate and the presidential residence located in Olivos neighborhood.
Once the bus reaches the city of Tigre, you will take a 1-hour boat ride through the channels and streams of the Paraná River Delta, visiting islands accessible only by water, stunning vegetation and houses on stilts.
You can see from the boat the particular architecture that has been adapted to the place, following the placid lifestyle of the islanders. At the end of the boat ride, we will visit San Isidro, a historic neighborhood in the north of Buenos Aires characterized by the beauty of its streets and its striking mansions, including some houses from the 18th century. In San Isidro we will visit its Plaza and the Craft Fair. At the end of this walk you will return by bus to make the way back to Buenos Aires.
